Welcome wise reader to the all-new Deep Throatminster blog! I'm beaming this to you from the white hot mantel of Westminster's political machine. DT isn't some speccy wannabe in his parents basement - I'm the realio dealio. Basically, if it ain't on Deep Throatminster... it isn't worth knowing.

So - what's cooking this morning in the Westminster Kitchen? Or should I say "who's cooking"? By which I mean who's being cooked, rather than who's doing the actual cooking. Step forward none other than the Little Chefcretary Of State for International Development Simon 'Smells Like Teeny Spirit' Foster.

Yes, Wee Simon was on PM yesterday being grilled by Eddie Mair and proceeded to jump right out of that grill (frying pan) and straight into the fire. War in the middle east is 'unforeseeable' according to Foster, but not, sadly, according to the prime minister. Yes, it seems Simon's ordering a la carte on this one, rather than sticking to the government's strict set menu. Ooh - that'll cost ya Foster...

According to one of DT's many minions, Mad Malcolm 'Mother' Tucker put his Ramsay hat on and served Si some Scottish swearword supper, telling Foster to Adopt a different attitude - and in future to watch what he eats (says) carefully.

It's diet or die for Foster, so word is they're parachuting in a mysterious bright young thing to clear up the turdstorm and keep him in line. To Be or Not To Be? Well, let's just see how the new guy gets on.
